Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Palestine, TX is seeking a box stacker to manually stack boxes on pallets for shipping. Shift is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a pay rate of $18.85 per hour. Day one on-the-job training is provided, benefits available and a referral bonus.

Responsibilities include stacking from production line, ensuring labels face out, and following safety policies. High school diploma preferred but not required; ability to lift 50 lbs and work unsupervised are

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Primarily responsible manually stacking boxes on pallets prior to shipping. Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Under general supervision, stack/load boxes from production line on pallets following specific pattern


• Ensure stacked boxes are straight with label facing out and lot numbers turned to the outside


• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but nut required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate


• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours


• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs


• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift 50 lbs


• May be exposed to cold (45ºF, 4ºC)


• Work around raw, live animal odors
