Methodist Converse Free Standing ER in San Antonio, TX is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. As an ER RN, you will assess and treat patients, document care, collaborate with providers, educate families, and participate in mentorship programs offered by Methodist.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse with Texas license or Multi-State Compact license
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course or PALS within 90 days of start date
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure
• Minimum of six months of clinical nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management with reassessments
• Perform procedures and monitor patients; document care in medical records
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs
• Teach patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up
• Educate on non-medicinal follow-up measures for health and prevention
