Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with Tennessee licensure is required; board certification is preferred. Inpatient clinical exposure and residency are advantageous.

  • Monitor, record, and communicate data using computerized documentation systems.
  • Apply age-specific patient needs in performance of duties and responsibilities.
  • Serve as the pharmacist in charge, responsible for compliance and pharmacy operations at the FSED.
  • Expected schedule: full-time, 4 days per week, 8-hour day shifts.

Freestanding ER Clinical Pharmacist (Full‑Time, 4 days per week)

Location: Portland, TN. The position is a Full State Emergency Department (FSED) clinical pharmacist in a freestanding emergency care setting.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize problem‑solving abilities to resolve medication issues, consulting with other knowledgeable parties as needed.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hospital policies and governmental regulations and dispense accordingly.
  • Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors, and complaints.
  • Determine and consult on potential drug interactions.
  • Assist with quality‑improvement initiatives, inventory management, and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate data using computerized documentation systems.
