TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking a Freestanding ER Clinical Pharmacist in Portland, TN for a full-time, four-day-per-week schedule. The role focuses on managing medication issues, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, and collaborating with physicians and nursing staff in an emergency setting.

Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with Tennessee licensure is required; board certification is preferred. Inpatient clinical exposure and residency are advantageous.

• Determine and consult on potential drug interactions.
• Assist with quality-improvement initiatives, inventory management, and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
• Monitor, record, and communicate data using computerized documentation systems.
• Apply age-specific patient needs in performance of duties and responsibilities.
• Serve as the pharmacist in charge, responsible for compliance and pharmacy operations at the FSED.
• Expected schedule: full-time, 4 days per week, 8-hour day shifts.

Location: Portland, TN. The position is a Full State Emergency Department (FSED) clinical pharmacist in a freestanding emergency care setting.

Responsibilities

• Utilize problem‑solving abilities to resolve medication issues, consulting with other knowledgeable parties as needed.
• Maintain strong knowledge of hospital policies and governmental regulations and dispense accordingly.
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors, and complaints.
