Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations, monitor patient medications, and provide drug information. Responsibilities include consultation with physicians, ensuring safe drug interactions, and participating in inventory and quality initiatives.

The role requires a TN pharmacy license (Board Certification preferred) and hospital experience. Residency is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Licensure in the State of TN; Board Certification preferred.
  • 1 year hospital experience preferred; residency preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist daily pharmacy tasks including filling orders.
  • Monitor patient medications and provide drug information.
  • Review medications, IVs, and compounding prior to distribution.
  • Consult with physicians and nursing staff on reactions and interactions.
  • Support quality improvement, inventory, and ordering.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and age-specific care.

Clinical Pharmacist

The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for assists in preforming daily pharmacy tasks, including but not limited to: filling orders for medications, monitoring patient therapeutic medications, providing drug information, checking medications, IV mixtures and compounding medications, prior to distribution.

What you will do in this role
  • You will utilize good problem solving abilities, making sure that problems are resolved, calling on other knowledgeable parties as necessary.

  • You will maintain strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispense accordingly.

  • You will consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors and complaints.

  • You will determine and consult on possible drug interactions.

  • You will assist with quality improvement initiatives, inventory and ordering of pharmaceuticals.

  • You will monitor, record and communicate as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.

  • You will utilize knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.

What qualifications you will need
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Pharmacy

  • Licensure in the State of TN. Board Certification preferred

  • One-year hospital experience preferred. Residency preferred
