Job summary

Loeffler Randall is seeking a Product Development Assistant - Freelance to work in person at our SoHo office, supporting footwear and RTW teams. The role emphasizes creativity, brand affinity, attention to detail, and learning mindset in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will assist with PLM data, sample management, and development documentation, partnering closely with design and production teams to ensure timely material and sample delivery.

Qualifications

• Interest in women’s apparel/accessories and lifestyle brands and e-commerce businesses.
• Basic knowledge of garment construction and design.
• Motivated and eager to learn.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
• Experience with PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help update and maintain PLM systems with the latest product information, including materials, colors, Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Maintain and organize all incoming and outgoing samples, including packing and recording in appropriate tracking systems
• Coordinate sample launches, ensuring all necessary materials and information are prepared for development partners
• Assist with mock-ups, material allocations, and technical documentation required for sample execution
• Assist with the development process by adding information to the technical packages, specs, and approvals
• Track development timelines, ensuring on time delivery of materials and samples
• Attend fittings to familiarize yourself with aspects of fit to learn about how garment fit, fabrics, and styling affect costing
• Support team in keeping materials closet organized, tidy and cataloging items
