Job summary

Fox News Media is seeking a Freelance Video Playout Operator to support the Fox News Channel. You will replace staff during vacations, holidays, and weekends, and handle high‑pressure live broadcasts in a 24/7 news environment.

You must be willing to work early mornings, overnights, weekends and holidays, with a positive, detail‑oriented, team‑mplayer attitude. Proficiency with iNews and file-server playout systems is required.

• An eye for content to aide in getting correct or newsworthy video elements to air
• Ability to be detail oriented
• Available to work early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekend shifts
• Must be willing to work on holidays
• Strong understanding of iNews
• Strong understanding of using a file server playout system
• Basic computer skills
• Willing to adapt and learn new technologies
• Viz knowledge is a plus
• Knowledge of EVS playout system is a plus

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Freelance Video Playout Operator to join our Fox News Channel team. As the Freelance Video Playout Operator, you will replace staff members who are on vacation or sick leave, including holidays and weekend shifts. You must be able to handle high pressured live news broadcasts of a 24/7 news environment. Additionally, you must be willing to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. You have a positive attitude, are detail-oriented, and are a team player looking to take on challenging tasks.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $36.00-43.75 per hour.
