Job summary

FOX News Media in New York is seeking a Freelance Video Playout Operator to replace staff during vacations, illnesses, holidays, and weekend shifts, handling high-pressure live broadcasts in a 24/7 news environment.

You will insert video elements, count back to directors, and ensure correct airworthy footage using iNews and a file-server playout system, with a detail-oriented, team-focused approach and willingness to work odd hours. Prior EVS and Viz knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with Playback in a live news environment.
• A keen eye for selecting correct or newsworthy video elements for on-air.
• Detail oriented with strong focus on accuracy.
• Available to work early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong understanding of iNews and file server playout systems.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Freelance Video Playout Operator to join our Fox News Channel team. As the Freelance Video Playout Operator, you will replace staff members who are on vacation or sick leave, including holidays and weekend shifts. You must be able to handle high pressured live news broadcasts of a 24/7 news environment. Additionally, you must be willing to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. You have a positive attitude, are detail-oriented, and are a team player looking to take on challenging tasks.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $36.00-43.75 per hour.
