Job summary

Visit.org is seeking an experienced Freelance Event Specialist to manage logistics for in-person events in Glasgow, KY. The role requires on-site coordination, strong customer service, and the energy to thrive in a startup tech environment.

You will handle pre-event planning, on-site setup and teardown, attendee check-in, and post-event packaging and shipping, with travel to local sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
• Based in Glasgow, KY.
• Contract per-event basis with flexibility.
• Experience with large events and executive-level events.
• Willing to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event details, ship materials, and staff for each event.
• Be onsite hands-on, set up, tear down, and ensure high-quality customer experience.
• Manage check-in and welcome guests.
• Escalate issues to the Events Team as needed.
• Pack and ship materials after events.
