Atrium in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Freelance Home Designer for Bedding and Bath with 3–4 years of professional design experience to design and develop bedding and bath products from concept through production.

You will create compelling designs, colorways, patterns, and presentations, collaborating with Product Development, Merchandising, and Sourcing to bring designs to market. Maintain PLM data, review samples, and stay ahead of market trends.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of professional design experience in home textiles, bedding, bath, or related consumer products.
• Strong understanding of textile, print, color, and product design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; experience with PLM systems.
• Strong visual, conceptual, and presentation skills; attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration; able to work in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

Freelance Home Designer (Bedding/Bath)

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Freelance Home Designer (Bedding/Bath) with 3 to 4 years of professional design experience to join our client's team in Midtown Manhattan. This role will focus on designing and developing bedding and bath products, from initial concepts through product development.

Salary/Hourly Rate

$30/hr - $35/hr

$75k (Permanent salary once converted)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop bedding and bath products from concept through production.
• Create compelling product designs, colorways, patterns, prints, and presentations.
• Collaborate with the Product Development, Merchandising, and Sourcing teams to bring designs to market.

Required Experience/Skills

• 3 to 4 years of professional design experience, preferably within home textiles, bedding, bath, soft home, or a related consumer products category.
• Strong understanding of textile, print, pattern, color, and product design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience working with PLM systems.
• Strong visual, conceptual, and presentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid, fast-paced corporate environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills

• Experience designing products within the home bedding and bath categories.
• Must have 3 to 4 years of work experience within the home furnishings market.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A degree in Design, Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field is preferred.
