Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create assessment questions, answers and marking guidance.
• Develop questions across KS3 topics and levels of challenge.
• Create worked examples, explanations and model solutions.
• Write scripts for educational Maths videos.
• Review and validate existing Maths content for accuracy.
• Proofread and edit resources for mathematical accuracy and clarity.
• Ensure content reflects KS3 curriculum requirements and progression.
• Check calculations, terminology, notation and answers for accuracy.
• Create a variety of question types to assess pupils' understanding.

Freelance Education Content Writer – KS3 Maths

We’re looking for an experienced KS3 Maths teacher or Maths education content writer to support the development of high-quality curriculum and assessment content for our EdTech platforms.

You’ll work on individual projects creating accurate, engaging and appropriately challenging Maths resources for Key Stage 3 pupils.

This would suit a current or former secondary Maths teacher, subject specialist or experienced education writer looking for flexible freelance projects alongside other commitments.

What you'll be working on

Depending on the project, you may be asked to:

Create assessment questions, answers and marking guidance

Develop questions across different topics and levels of challenge

Create worked examples, explanations and model solutions

Write scripts for educational Maths videos

Review and validate existing Maths content

Proofread and edit resources for mathematical accuracy and clarity

Check that content reflects relevant KS3 curriculum requirements

Consider progression in mathematical knowledge and skills across KS3

Check calculations, terminology, notation and answers for accuracy

Create a suitable variety of question types to assess pupils' understanding

Projects will be provided with a clear brief, requirements and an agreed deadline.
