Job summary

The Tutor Team is seeking part-time, self-employed remote tutors to deliver online English, Maths and Science lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.

You will plan and tailor lessons, help learners build knowledge and exam skills, provide clear written feedback after each session, and work with the support team to drive continuous improvement.

Tutoring sessions occur during school hours 9-4, term-time only, with safeguarding and inclusive practice expected.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear online lesson delivery and the ability to explain complex concepts in accessible ways.
• Candidates should possess excellent Analytical Skills to diagnose learning gaps, interpret assessment data and adapt teaching strategies.
• Candidates should possess effective Training skills, with experience or aptitude in tutoring or teaching teenagers at KS3 and KS4.
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in English, Mathematics, Science or a closely related field.
• Experience preparing students for GCSE/IGCSE or equivalent exams, including familiarity with major UK exam boards.
• Comfort with online teaching platforms and digital tools, with reliable internet access and suitable home working environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and to inclusive, non-discriminatory practice; enhanced background checks and references will be required.
