Houston Grand Opera is seeking a Costume Shop Assistant to support the Costume Shop Supervisor and Draper in building and altering costumes for productions, with emphasis on stitching. The role requires at least 3 years of professional sewing experience, ability to sew diverse fabrics, operate industrial sewing machines, lift up to 30 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Some fittings and wardrobe prep will be involved.
To work with the Houston Grand Opera Costume Shop Department with all aspects that are involved in the realization and production of costumes with an emphasis on stitching.
