Job summary

Homa is seeking a Freelance Concept Artist to shape the visual direction for an upcoming RPG. You will design compelling character concepts for heroes and enemies, support the art team with props, environments, and UI assets, and collaborate closely with the Art Director and designers to ensure concepts are visually inspiring and production-friendly.

Qualifications

• Professional experience creating concept art for games, ideally on RPG, action, fantasy, or stylized titles.
• Exceptional drawing skills and strong artistic fundamentals, including anatomy, perspective, composition, lighting, color theory, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to quickly explore multiple ideas while balancing creativity with production constraints.
• High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (or equivalent industry-standard digital painting tools).
• Experience designing a wide variety of assets, including characters, environments, props, creatures, and key illustrations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with artists, designers, and cross-functional teams.
• A proactive mindset, openness to feedback, and the ability to iterate efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Design high-quality concept art for playable heroes, enemies, NPCs, and creatures.
• Create supporting concepts for props, environments, weapons, UI elements, and other in-game assets.
• Explore multiple visual directions through sketches, silhouettes, mood boards, color keys, and ideation.
• Translate gameplay mechanics and design intentions into clear, compelling visual solutions.
• Work closely with the Art Director to maintain a consistent artistic vision across the project.
• Produce production-friendly concepts that can be efficiently translated into final game assets.
• Iterate quickly based on feedback while maintaining a high artistic standard.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including artists, designers, and AI specialists.
