Job summary

Razorfish is seeking a Freelance 3D Generalist with expertise in photorealistic product visualization and CAD workflows. You will clean up CAD assets and integrate them into photographic or AI-generated backgrounds, with a strong emphasis on camera matching, lighting, and material realism.

You will collaborate in a fast-paced production environment, delivering high-end renders while ensuring consistency with branding, photography, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience creating photorealistic product renders for advertising/marketing.
• Experience importing, cleaning up and optimizing dense CAD files (Parasolid .x_t, STEP, STL).
• Proficiency in one major 3D package (Cinema 4D, Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max).
• Advanced lighting, shading, materials, texturing and rendering skills.
• Understanding of photography, perspective and camera matching.
• Ability to create believable reflections and environmental interaction.
• Basic compositing (Photoshop or similar).
• Strong eye for materials, proportion, and composition.

Responsibilities

• Work with CAD assets provided by manufacturers, clean up and optimize geometry for rendering.
• Integrate products into supplied backgrounds (photographic or AI-generated).
• Perform camera and lighting matching to recreate scene perspective and illumination.
