Job description

Get your CNA for free and get paid while in training! Class will be starting either on July 7th, 14th or 15th, with CNA test out on July 31st.

This class is for people who would like to work for Ecumen Saint Benedicts after achieving their CNA.

The Nursing Assistant, CNA-Student, is responsible for providing supervised personal care and health-related services while enrolled in CNA training to become certified. Under the guidance of professional nurses, you will follow individualized care plans and HIPAA guidelines, gaining experience in community-based nursing and the rewards of caring for residents outside hospital settings.

The targeted pay for this role is $17.50 per hour as a CNA Student. Ecumen considers experience, qualifications, certifications, licenses, and education when determining pay.

  • 07/22: 7am - 3:30pm
  • 07/23: 7am - 3:30pm
  • 07/24: 4:00pm - 8:30pm
  • 07/29: 6am - 2:30pm
  • 07/30: 7am - 3:30pm
  • 07/31: 7am - 3:30pm

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist with treatments and activities of daily living as delegated, including dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, toileting, ambulation, and transfers.
2. Assist with AM and HS cares, including oral care, and incontinence care.
3. Assistive device management, including glasses and hearing aids.
4. Provide physical care according to established procedures, monitor vital signs, and assist with ROM exercises to promote independence and dignity.
5. Respond to safety hazards, call lights, and requests promptly.
6. Report changes in residents' physical condition or behavior to the nurse.
7. Assist with admissions and discharges.
8. Document accurately and timely.
9. Collaborate effectively with team members and support the community as directed.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a CNA program within four months of starting.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow safety rules, policies, and procedures, including HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, OSHA, and others.
