The Role

Prepare a variety of food products including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, salads, and other items using various techniques, equipment, and utensils according to chef assignments.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing checklists.
• Follow daily prep lists for assigned duties.
• Prepare food using assigned equipment, including setup and breakdown.
• Adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies.
• Portion food according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations.
• Follow proper closing procedures.
• Report equipment and food quality issues to the chef.
• Notify the chef of product shortages.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the chef.

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Ability to reach, bend, stand, and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Work in standing position for extended periods.
• Communicate clearly with managers and kitchen staff.

Working Conditions

• Work in hot, cold, wet, humid, and loud environments.

Qualifications

• At least one year of kitchen preparation experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers and staff.
