The Role:

Prepare a variety of food products including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, salads, and other items using various techniques, equipment, and utensils according to chef assignments.

Responsibilities:
  1. Complete opening and closing checklists.
  2. Refer to a daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
  3. Prepare a variety of food using assigned equipment, including setup and breakdown.
  4. Understand and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies and procedures.
  5. Portion food products according to standard sizes and recipes.
  6. Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including tables, shelves, walls, and refrigeration equipment.
  7. Close the kitchen properly following the closing checklist.
  8. Report equipment and food quality issues to the chef.
  9. Notify the chef immediately of product shortages.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by the chef.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  1. Ability to reach, bend, stand, and frequently lift up to 60 pounds.
  2. Work in a standing position for long periods.
  3. Communicate clearly with managers and kitchen staff.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in hot, cold, wet, humid, and loud environments for extended periods.
Qualifications:
  • At least one year of kitchen preparation experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with management and staff.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to read and produce items from live tickets.
  • Basic personal hygiene and cleanliness skills.

Target Salary Range:
