Job summary

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Fraud Strategy & Tools Specialist to join our External Fraud Working Group. This role centralizes and enhances the bank's fraud prevention tools, aligns them with business goals, and identifies trends to drive improvements.

You will liaise between fraud operations, LOB teams, and external vendors, monitor tool performance, and document configurations to support proactive risk management and effective decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, or related field.
• Minimum of three years in fraud prevention, risk management, or fintech.
• Experience with fraud analytics tools such as NICE/Actimize, Q2 Sentinel, FICO, Abrigo BAM+ or similar.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and oversee fraud tools and configurations.
• Coordinate with lines of business and external vendors to align tool use with goals.
• Identify fraud trends and advise on improvements and tuning.
• Document decisions, tool configurations, and current state of fraud technologies.
