Job summary

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Fraud Strategy & Tools Specialist to join our External Fraud Working Group. The role centralizes and enhances the bank's fraud prevention tools and technology, aligning them with business goals and risk appetite.

You will collaborate with fraud operations, LOB teams, and external vendors, monitor tool updates, analyze fraud trends, and recommend improvements. A hybrid work schedule is available within our footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, or related field.
• Minimum of three years' experience in fraud prevention, risk management, or fintech.
• Experience with one or more fraud detection tools or platforms (NICE/Actimize, Q2 Sentinel, FICO, Abrigo BAM+, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Optimize and oversee fraud tools and configurations.
• Coordinate with LOBs and vendors to align tool usage with business goals.
• Identify fraud trends and support rapid detection and response.
• Document decisions and maintain tool configuration records.
