Job summary

Félix is building a new fraud strategy for its card issuance program in a 0-to-1 environment. You will own end-to-end authorization decisioning, from pre-launch risk assessment to monitoring post-launch performance.

You’ll translate vendor responsibilities into real controls and partner with Product, Engineering, and Fraud Ops to embed safeguards into wallet funding and spend flows. The role requires advanced SQL, cross-functional communication, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years in fraud/risk strategy with hands-on card authorization experience.
• Working knowledge of card network mechanics: authorization/settlement, 3DS/SCA, network programs, dispute codes.
• Experience evaluating BaaS / card issuing vendors (Stripe Issuing, Marqeta, Galileo).
• Advanced SQL; ability to size risk and backtest thresholds.
• Bias toward product and action-based fraud controls over static rules.
• Strong cross-functional communication across Fraud, Product, Compliance and vendor teams.
• Spanish or Portuguese is a plus for LATAM focus.

Responsibilities

• Own fraud strategy for the card issuance program end-to-end from pre-launch to steady-state monitoring.
• Translate vendor documentation into an operating decisioning model with actual controls.
• Design and own authorization decisioning for card transactions (3DS/SCA, velocity, holds).
• Monitor fraud-health against card network thresholds and build early-warning systems.
• Build the fraud lifecycle: onboarding risk, first-card-use monitoring, BIN/portfolio pattern detection.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to embed controls in flows.
• Own card dispute and chargeback strategy in partnership with Fraud Ops.
• Lead vendor discussions and maintain evolving requirements docs.
• Use SQL/BigQuery to size exposure and backtest thresholds.
