Job summary

Discord Inc. is seeking a Payments & Fraud Analyst to own end-to-end fraud detection, payments operations, and risk assessment within a high-scale environment.

You will drive initiatives across Engineering, Legal, Product, and Revenue to protect revenue and enable product launches with confidence. You will write SQL queries, build dashboards in Mode and Datadog, mentor teammates, and communicate business impact to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of experience in payments, fraud, or risk operations.
• Deep working knowledge of card networks and chargebacks.
• Proficiency in SQL for large data analysis.
• Experience building reporting and monitoring workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own high-scale fraud detection and payments operations end-to-end.
• Lead complex fraud investigations and propose rule improvements.
• Write SQL queries and build dashboards to monitor fraud and payments.
• Program manage cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Legal, Product, Revenue.
• Contribute to risk assessments for new product launches.
• Communicate business impact to stakeholders pre, during, post-launch.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
