The role combines people leadership, operational excellence, risk mitigation, and continuous process improvement in a rapidly evolving environment.

You will work closely with risk leaders and cross-functional partners to identify high-impact opportunities that improve user experience while reducing exposure to fraud.

You will use data, performance metrics, and root-cause analysis to strengthen investigative processes and anticipate emerging risks.

Your leadership will help build a scalable, adaptable fraud operations organization equipped to respond to increasingly sophisticated threats.

This is an opportunity to shape both the people and systems that enable effective risk management at scale.

Accountabilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing fraud investigations team, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented environment.

  • Establish clear objectives, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and support the professional growth and development of team members.

  • Define the team's strategic vision and translate long-term priorities into actionable plans and measurable short-term initiatives.

  • Partner with risk leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-return investments in user experience, process improvements, and risk mitigation.

  • Maintain oversight of operational vendors supporting risk-related activities and monitor their performance against expectations.

  • Lead root-cause analysis to identify opportunities to predict, prevent, and mitigate fraud and other risks across operational processes.

  • Define, monitor, and manage core performance metrics, service-level agreements, and organizational KPIs.

  • Identify gaps in existing systems, processes, and strategies and lead enhancements designed to address current and emerging risks.

  • Balance risk-management objectives with the need to deliver a seamless, user-centric experience.

Requirements

  • Strong strategic-thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to break down complex challenges and translate them into practical, actionable solutions.

  • Strong commitment to delivering a user-centric experience while maintaining effective and sustainable risk controls.

  • Expertise in fraud and risk management, including data analysis, root-cause analysis, operational performance management, and process improvement.

  • Experience analyzing data and developing dashboards, visualizations, and performance reporting to support decision-making.

  • Strong proficiency in sourcing, querying, and analyzing data using SQL.

  • Experience partnering closely with engineering teams to develop, improve, and scale investigative tools and risk treatments.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred; an advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to lead and shape a high-performing fraud operations organization.

  • Strategic ownership of initiatives focused on operational scalability, risk mitigation, and process improvement.

  • Cross-functional exposure and collaboration with risk, engineering, and other business stakeholders.

  • Opportunity to influence both user experience and risk-management strategy.
