Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Fraud & Identity Specialist for a remote contract role in the United States. You will review customer accounts, investigate suspicious activity, and handle appeals and escalations. The position offers a 6-month contract with Sunday–Thursday scheduling in Pacific time.

Responsibilities include reviewing transactions, identifying fraud patterns, documenting findings, and recommending process improvements while maintaining confidentiality and prioritizing workload.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in fraud, data processing, customer support, or related field.
• Experience reviewing customer accounts for fraud and providing service.
• Basic Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Sound judgment when cases are not clear-cut.
• Ability to prioritize, handle confidential information, and adapt to changes.
• Availability Sunday–Thursday, 11:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Pacific.

Duration: 6 months
Rate: $16.42 - 17.85
Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Pacific; Friday and Saturday off

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Join a Fraud & Identity team in a remote contract role. You'll review customer accounts and transactions, investigate suspicious activity, and handle customer appeals and internal escalations. You'll gain hands-on fraud investigation experience while identifying patterns, making judgment calls, and suggesting process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1-2+ years in fraud, data processing, customer support, or a related field; a strong academic record may also qualify
• Experience reviewing customer accounts for potential fraud and providing customer service
• Basic Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Sound judgment when cases are not clear-cut
• Ability to prioritize a queue, handle sensitive information confidentially, and work in changing conditions
• Availability Sunday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Pacific; Friday and Saturday off

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Zendesk or a similar support platform
• Understanding of the gig economy
