Job summary

CGS seeks an Auditor to provide general auditing and accounting services in support of fraud investigations involving complex financial transactions and organizations. The ideal candidate will develop, coordinate, and draft technical audit guidelines, and be proficient in a variety of accounting systems while maintaining strong cross-functional communication throughout investigations.

Qualifications

• Four-year undergraduate degree or higher in statistical/data analysis, finance, accounting, fraud examination, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional work experience in finance, accounting, fraud examination or data analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for the requisite background investigation.
• Experience with medical records review and medical billing procedures (preferred).
• Experience with federal or state legal or law enforcement entities (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Audit and analyze a variety of accounting systems.
• Organize and present large volumes of data such as financial records and other evidence.
• Assist with planning investigations and identifying relevant documents.
• Prepare concise audit reports with charts and schedules.
• Coordinate conferences and interviews with witnesses and financial institutions.
• Use electronic databases to identify assets and evidence.
• Analyze an entity's ability to pay penalties.
• Develop and draft technical audit guidelines for audits and investigations.
• Prepare interim and final investigation reports.
• Arrange secure storage and indexing of documentary evidence.
• Assist in compiling documents and visuals for motions or trial.
• Meet with federal, state, or local agency personnel as needed.
