Job summary

Hard Rock Digital is seeking a Fraud Analytics Analyst to join our Fraud team. The role focuses on investigating fraud signals, quantifying impact, and delivering clear analyses and reports to leadership.

You will write queries, build analyses in Excel, Amplitude, and Power BI, and help refine detection rules. The position requires curiosity, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fraud, payments, risk, banking, disputes, or related analytical field.
  • Proficiency in SQL and ability to write queries; Snowflake is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills to structure, clean, and analyze data.
  • Strong written communication to distill analysis into concise summaries.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
  • Knowledge of gambling and sports betting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with fraud typologies such as promo abuse, multi-accounting, chargebacks, account takeover, or payment fraud is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages.
  • Comfort with AI tools and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to mirror sporting schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Querying and analyzing large datasets to investigate accounts, cohorts, and transaction patterns tied to suspected fraud.
  • Building account-level and cohort-level analysis in Excel, Amplitude, Power BI and other tools.
  • Producing clear, professional reports and summaries that translate complex analysis into actionable findings.
  • Investigating alerts across detection systems and validating or disproving fraud scenarios.
  • Supporting recurring operational and leadership reporting with data-driven insights.
  • Assisting with development and testing of detection rules and logic.
  • Conducting quality reviews of case handling and documentation against standards.
  • Maintaining reusable queries, tools, templates, and documentation.
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects and ad hoc requests to meet deadlines.
  • Partnering with fraud operations, compliance, and other teams to align on process.
