Job summary

Aquent is seeking a data science leader to drive the implementation of advanced fraud detection models for a major global financial institution. You will act as the bridge between cutting-edge analytics and operational execution, safeguarding transactions and customers.

You will independently evaluate multiple models, oversee end-to-end deployment, and collaborate with governance and risk teams to secure approvals and documentation. Strong experience in financial services is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise in machine learning algorithms and model evaluation metrics (ROC-AUC, Precision/Recall, etc.).
• Experience leading end-to-end deployment of models in large orgs.
• Familiarity with governance, validation, and regulatory approval processes in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and benchmark 4-5+ ML models, including external partners, based on performance and ROI.
• Lead end-to-end deployment of fraud detection models into the operations ecosystem.
• Collaborate with governance and risk teams to secure approvals and documentation.
• Coordinate roadmaps across data science, infrastructure, and rules engines for seamless integration.
• Embed model scores into fraud rules and payment execution paths.
