Job summary

Paysign in Henderson, NV is seeking a Fraud Analyst to minimize fraud exposure by analyzing alerts and reports, patterns, and trends in fraudulent behavior. You may assist management in developing and implementing fraud rules and staying updated on emerging fraud trends.

This role requires attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency with MS Office; experience with Salesforce or similar case management systems is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in customer service or similar role, preferably within card services, financial services, or a fraud/dispute environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with fraud detection tools and rule development is a plus.
  • Familiarity with card network rules and dispute regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review suspicious transaction activities through scheduled ad-hoc reporting to decision account status.
  • Monitor system alerts across card networks (Visa, Mastercard, PULSE, Fiserv, and Starstation) and respond to situations as necessary.
  • Identify fraud patterns through transaction analysis.
  • Conduct analysis of transaction trends and evaluate emerging fraud trends to support account decisioning.
  • Suggest fraud rule updates based on observed trends, and may, on occasion, assist in writing or refining fraud rules.
  • Make outbound calls to Cardholders to verify suspicious activity.
  • Collaborate with Investigator and Disputes team members on reports of suspicious activity.

As part of Paysign’s Fraud and Disputes department, the Fraud Analyst is responsible for minimizing fraud exposure to our business through analysis of internal and/or external alerts and reports, patterns and trends in fraudulent behavior. Additionally, they may be involved in assisting management in developing and implementing fraud rules and staying updated on emerging fraud trends.

Additionally, they may be involved in assisting management in developing and implementing fraud rules and staying updated on emerging fraud trends.

Requirements
Essential Functions/Expectations
  • Review suspicious transaction activities through scheduled ad-hoc reporting to decision account status
  • Monitor system alerts across card networks (Visa, Mastercard, PULSE, Fiserv, and Starstation) and respond to situations as necessary
  • Identify fraud patterns through transaction analysis
  • Conduct analysis of transaction trends and evaluate emerging fraud trends to support account decisioning
  • Suggest fraud rule updates based on observed trends, and may, on occasion, assist in writing or refining fraud rules
  • Make outbound calls to Cardholders to verify suspicious activity
  • Collaborate with Investigator and Disputes team members (Openers, Closers, and Chargeback Specialists) on reports of suspicious activity
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Regular attendance and schedule flexibility.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Strong Interpersonal/Communication skills.
  • Basic familiarity with card network rules and dispute regulations preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar case management systems preferred.
Education And Experience
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a customer service or similar role, preferably within card services, financial services, or a fraud/dispute environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Working Conditions
  • Work is generally performed within an indoor office environment utilizing standard office equipment.
  • General office environment requiring: frequent sitting; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse; walking and standing for long periods of time; and lifting of less than 20 pounds.
