Job summary

National Life Group in Montpelier, VT is seeking a Life & Annuity Compliance professional to join the Special Investigative Unit. You will analyze AML transaction monitoring, review fraud referrals, and collaborate with regulators and business partners to determine appropriate actions.

The role offers opportunities to deepen compliance knowledge, build cross-functional relationships, and contribute to company policies while supporting the firm's commitment to ethics and risk management.

Qualifications

3+ years of compliance and/or life insurance/annuity experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service through empathy and listening.
Ability to communicate general compliance topics with guidance from team members.
Professionalism and tact when interacting with leadership and the public.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.
Discretion with confidential matters.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Align personal goals with annual team goals.

Responsibilities

Contribute to AML transaction monitoring using defined techniques and tools.
Execution — 80%; Tactical — 20%.
Assist with review/investigation of fraud referrals and vendor/business partner collaboration.
Complete moderate scope tasks within established time standards.
Work under general supervision with milestones and senior approvals.
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.
Exercise judgment within procedures to solve problems and determine actions.
Demonstrate National Life Group values and servant leadership in daily work.
