Job summary

Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC is seeking an Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life to lead leadership development, foster student engagement, and strengthen community accountability within the Greek system.

You will advise Greek councils, oversee key programs, track success metrics, and collaborate with campus partners to support student learning and holistic development. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or related field, or Bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ post‑degree experience in higher education and/or fraternity/sorority life.
• Strong understanding of fraternity/sorority life values and principles.
• Analytical skills with data management and assessment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Experience in leadership development, advising, and program management
• Commitment to belonging, accountability, and holistic student development
• Evening and weekend availability

Responsibilities

• Lead leadership development and student success initiatives for the Greek councils.
• Collaborate with other departments to implement engaging programs and recognize achievements.
• Provide case management for fraternity and sorority members, ensuring policy compliance.
• Oversee social media and resources for chapter programming; participate in meetings and professional development.
