Donahue Fitzgerald LLP is seeking a highly skilled Transactional Legal Secretary / Paralegal to support the transactional practice, with emphasis on franchise matters.

The role requires exceptional word processing, project management, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong communication is essential. Oakland-based with hybrid schedule after initial period.

Formación

• 3–5+ years of experience as a legal secretary, paralegal, or transactional support specialist.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with franchise filings, FDD prep, and transactional closing checklists is desirable.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, initiative, and proofreading skills.

Responsabilidades

• Format, proofread, and finalize complex transactional documents, including M&A agreements and corporate records.
• Organize franchise-related docs (FDDs, franchise agreements, state filings, annual updates).
• Coordinate projects, track milestones, and manage closing checklists for multiple matters.
• Monitor deadlines and maintain matter files and document repositories.
• Draft clear communications and interact professionally with attorneys and clients.
