Job summary

Neighborly is seeking a Property Management Accountant to deliver bookkeeping services and uphold accounting standards for franchise owners. The role involves managing financial reports, GL entries, and reconciliations while supporting franchise-specific accounting needs and maintaining confidentiality.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in property management accounting, familiarity with Appfolio or Propertyware, and strong Excel and communication skills. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information detailing income, expenses, assets, and liabilities and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
• Prepare entries to general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
• Operate as the lead point of contact for franchise owners on franchise matters.
• Prepare/review and assist with bank account reconciliations.
• Train and support franchise staff in accounting practices and procedures.
• Support franchises with special accounting requests.
• Maintain confidentiality of personal information.
• Understand and apply GAAP within the business environment.
