Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to deliver accurate bookkeeping, payroll and customer service across our franchise network. You will post transactions, reconcile ledgers, generate financial statements and process payroll, while communicating with clients and banking contacts.

The role requires attention to detail, integrity and the ability to work independently. Xero experience is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience with Xero accounting software.
• 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and growth opportunities.
