Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Plainville, MA seeks a Framer to assist the carpentry foreman by securing, moving, assembling, and installing lumber products. You will operate woodworking machines and use tools to cut, shape, fasten, and install materials for wood framing.

You will coordinate daily with foremen, maintain a clean site, provide your own hand tools, follow PPE requirements, and participate in safety-focused training and company policies. The role offers a salary range reflecting experience.

Qualifications

• Preferred GED or equivalent.
• Preferred proficiency in reading and writing English.
• Preferred knowledge of lumber and engineered wood products, wood framing anchors, and connections and how they are assembled and used in hand frame and panelized buildings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with carpentry foremen daily.
• Comply with and enforce all company policies.
• Attend the training sessions for your position offered by the company.
• Maintain a positive company image with appropriate language, dress, and behavior.
• Fabrication and installation of basic components required in commercial carpentry framing.
• Keep the job site organized and clean.
• Provide your own hand tools and belt.
• Maintain and use your Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Participate in maintaining a safe job site.
• Performs other duties as required.
