Job summary

84 Lumber is seeking a Framing Manager to lead independent subcontract framing crews on multiple projects at our sites. You will train, supervise, and direct crews, manage labor budgeting, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Responsibilities include overseeing installation of wood components, doors and windows, siding, shingles, insulation, drywall, and trim; recruit licensed subs; track schedules; perform daily site inspections; and ensure contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in responding to and adjusting inquiries from customers.
• Ability to read and comprehend documents (blueprints, manuals) and write routine reports.
• Strong communication skills for presenting to small groups and coordinating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the installation of wood component systems, doors and windows, siding, shingles, insulation, drywall, and trim.
• Recruit independent subcontractors with proper licenses and insurance.
• Budget labor costs and develop job scopes with schedules.
• Conduct daily jobsite inspections for quality and schedule to ensure compliance with blueprints and specifications.
• Perform daily safety inspections and ensure contract compliance.
• Prepare daily reports and job diaries as required by projects.
