Zusammenfassung

Sol de Janeiro is seeking a Packaging Engineer to lead packaging development for fragrance products. You will collaborate with Global Product Marketing, Product Development, Manufacturing and QA to ensure packaging meets high standards for functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability.

You will own packaging specs, testing, validation, and documentation, and support technical transfers between suppliers and sites.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in packaging engineering or related technical discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in packaging engineering, development, testing or related packaging function.
• Foundational knowledge of packaging materials, components and manufacturing processes.
• Experience evaluating packaging testing, interpreting specifications and documenting results.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical skills including root‑cause analysis.

Aufgaben

• Manage packaging development for fragrance launches from feasibility to commercialization.
• Collaborate with design, marketing, manufacturing and QA to meet on-brand packaging standards.
• Develop scalable, cost‑efficient packaging solutions aligned with brand and operations.
• Troubleshoot packaging issues and perform root‑cause analyses.
• Contribute to risk assessments, feasibility reviews and technical recommendations.
• Own packaging specifications, testing, validation, and documentation for launch readiness.
• Support technical transfers between suppliers, sites or regions.
• Support ESG-related initiatives in packaging including material optimization and data for reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, testing standards and supplier strategies.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure alignment on requirements.
