Job summary

International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) seeks an accomplished Analytical Chemist to support fragrance development and performance analytics across consumer products. You will perform extractions, GC/MS profiling, and data interpretation to advance new fragrance concepts.

Based in Holmdel, NJ with on-site 3x/week and one remote day, NYC travel may be required. The role emphasizes collaboration with perfumers, marketing, and technical teams to translate science into innovative scents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of analytical chemistry experience in fragrances or related industries.
• Hands-on GC/MS operation and troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform fragrance extraction from consumer products using analytical techniques.
• Conduct GC/MS analysis for fragrance profiling and ingredient characterization.
• Reconstruct fragrance compositions through analytical interpretation.
• Plan, execute, and interpret complex analytical studies for fragrance development.
• Generate structured analytical datasets to support insights.
• Provide analytical support for AI-driven fragrance design initiatives.
• Contribute to IP development and cross-functional projects.
• Present analytical findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Perfumers, Marketing, and Technical teams.
