Job summary

IFF is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to advance fragrance science in Holmdel, NJ. You will perform fragrance extraction, GC/MS profiling, and analytical interpretation to support new fragrance concepts across Body Care projects.

You will design experiments, manage complex datasets, and collaborate with perfumers, marketing, and technical teams to translate data into breakthrough fragrance solutions. On-site 3x/week with some remote work, joining a global, innovation-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Analytical Chemistry or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of analytical chemistry experience in fragrance, consumer goods, biotech, pharma, or related fields.
• Ability to design experiments and solve complex analytical challenges.
• Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting GC/MS instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform fragrance extraction from consumer products using analytical techniques.
• Conduct GC/MS analysis for profiling and ingredient characterization.
• Reconstruct fragrance compositions through analytical interpretation.
• Plan, execute, and interpret complex analytical studies for fragrance development.
• Generate structured datasets to support insights and market understanding.
• Present analytical findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
