Job summary

Arootah is seeking experienced Directors of Technology to consult for our prestigious client base in the alternative asset and family office space. You will work with the CTO to build, maintain, and oversee the full technology stack including software, hardware, security, and operations.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in a Director of Technology role within the industry, strong IT governance, and a proven ability to drive strategic initiatives, manage budgets, and supervise vendor partnerships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/related field required.
• MBA or relevant graduate degree is a plus.
• 6+ years as Director of Technology at an Alternative Asset Firm or family office preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge across IT infra, security, and operations required.
• Experience with hosted and on-prem investment tech vendors essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of technology across org.
• Oversee cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Manage KPIs and drive productivity with CTO and leadership.
• Guide vendor selection and oversight for critical tech platforms.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and security controls meet industry standards.
