Job summary

Gofractional is seeking a hands-on Fractional CTO to partner with the Founder and leadership, owning technology strategy, platform architecture, and a scalable engineering function. This is not advisory; you will embed with the team, decide, and drive execution in a fast-growth environment.

You will lead Shopify/e-commerce tech at scale, oversee multi-channel integrations, strengthen security and reliability, and recruit and mentor the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Proven senior tech leadership experience (CTO/VP Eng)
• Hands-on Shopify and e-commerce tech at scale
• Experience building and scaling engineering teams
• Multi-channel e-commerce integration experience
• Strong communication between technical and business teams
• Based in USA or Canada

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technology roadmap and platform architecture
• Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team day-to-day
• Oversee Shopify multi-store setup, integrations, apps, and checkout flows
• Audit and improve performance, security, and reliability of tech infra
• Collaborate with leadership in strategic planning and decision making
