Qualifications

• 10+ years of data leadership with at least 3 years as CDO or equivalent.
• Experience presenting to board, audit committee, or executive committee.
• Working knowledge of MDM, data warehouse, lakehouse architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the client's CDO of record reporting to CEO, COO, or CIO depending on org design.
• Set the multi-year data strategy and roadmap including platform, governance, and talent plans.
• Design the data operating model: stewardship, governance forums, escalation paths.
• Lead platform decisions across MDM, data warehouse, lakehouse, and BI in partnership with engineering.
• Run the data privacy and ethical-use program in coordination with the CISO and General Counsel.
• Build the data-product practice including catalog, contracts, and customer feedback loops.
• Mentor client data leadership and grow internal capability for eventual handover.

What we /
look for

• 10 or more years of data leadership including at least 3 as CDO, head of data, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience presenting to board, audit committee, or executive committee.
• Working knowledge of modern data architecture across MDM, warehouse, and lakehouse.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Candidates located in the Houston, Texas area will be given preference; remote consultants will also be considered.
• Reliable, secure internet connection and ability to travel to client sites as required by engagement scope.
