Job summary

VisionPath CFO, LLC seeks an experienced CFO-level professional to partner with owner-led businesses, guiding strategic financial decisions and modeling to drive growth. You will work with 2-4 clients at a time, building financial strategy and serving as the executive finance voice in critical conversations.

You will manage external relationships with lenders, CPAs, and advisors while driving decision-making through rigorous modeling of pricing, contracts, and capital structure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a CFO or in a similar role.
• Direct experience with owner-led businesses under $50 million in revenue.
• Direct experience building financial models for strategic decisions.
• M&A, capital structure, or exit advisory experience.
• Track record managing relationships with external stakeholders: lenders, investors, advisors, or board members.

Responsibilities

• Own the client relationship as their primary finance strategic partner. Build trust through understanding their business challenges and financial goals.
• Develop and refine financial strategy in partnership with owners. Build models for pricing changes, contract economics, and capital structure.
• Architect the reporting and metrics framework for each client to indicate what to watch and why.
• Manage relationships with lenders, advisors, brokers, buy-side/sell-side contacts, and CPAs.
• Communicate complex financial information clearly and provide strategic insights for non-financial owners to act on.
• Have difficult conversations with clients and maintain trust through discussions.
• Collaborate with VisionPath CFO team through shadowing meetings and weekly CEO touch-bases.
• Adapt to evolving client needs by taking on additional responsibilities and strategic initiatives.
