Job summary

Tunnell Consulting seeks a fractional Business Development/ Clinical Support Consultant in the greater Boston area. The role supports digital and AI adoption across research and care, providing US-based sponsorship and site coordination to advance drug development and patient recruitment.

The candidate should have a background in clinical trials to articulate client value and demonstrate platform capabilities; must reside in the Boston area and work with a broad network of sponsors, CROs, sites

Qualifications

Nursing and/or Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, or an equivalent qualification, ideally with a medical focus, such as Registered Nurse; an advanced degree is preferred.
Proven track record of 7-10 years’ experience in clinical research.
Prior CRO experience required.

Responsibilities

Oversee clinical trial technology and digital platforms, such as eCRF; co-manage supporting IT services, ensure that solutions function effectively for U.S. clients and participants, and collaborate with technical teams in Australia to resolve issues, implement updates and continuously improve workflows.
Develop and implement processes, SOPs, work instructions and standardized documentation to promote consistency, efficiency and regulatory compliance across clinical trial activities.
Lead the coordination of clinical trial sites, including site communication, training, document shipment and tracking, and payment processing.
