Job summary

Tyndale Company, Inc. is seeking a friendly Retail Associate to join our store team. You’ll greet customers, recommend FR and non-FR products, and process purchases in a fast-paced environment.

You'll help keep the store organized, stock shelves, and support opening/closing tasks while delivering a great customer experience and upholding safety standards. The position features a staggered 8-hour shift Mon-Fri 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and a 6-hour Saturday shift from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail or customer service experience.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate professionally.
• Ability to learn Tyndale’s products, understand technical product features, and make appropriate recommendations.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and credit card transactions and follow cash-control and loss prevention procedures.
• Ability to use or quickly learn point-of-sale, payment, and other retail systems.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Ability to work the required schedule, including staggered weekday shifts and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and understand their needs, helping them select the right FR and non-FR products.
• Build customer relationships with helpful product recommendations and upsell when appropriate.
• Accurately process purchases using POS and payment systems (cash and card).
• Keep the store clean, organized, stocked, and customer-ready with shelves and displays.
• Receive and unpack shipments; stock sales floor and stock areas to maintain availability.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, cash-handling, and store procedures.
• Support store opening and closing responsibilities as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management; escalate as needed.
• Pitch in across store operations to support the team and customer experience.
