Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Dentist to work in Health Services within the FQHC setting and to collaborate closely with the COO, Dental Director, and CEO of the OSU Total Health Care Center. The dentist may serve as a preceptor for OSU College of Dentistry students, supervising patient care under supervision.

The successful candidate will demonstrate clinical excellence, ensure patient satisfaction, and maintain accurate medical records for ambulatory dental care.

Qualifications

• Licensure to practice dentistry in Ohio or eligibility
• BLS-HCW certification required
• Hands-on clinical skills in restorative, endodontic, periodontics, and minor oral surgery
• Minimum 2 years of clinical dental experience
• Supervisory/administrative experience in ambulatory dental practice; proficiency with an electronic health record (EHR)

Responsibilities

• Promote a team-based approach to delivering dental care in the FQHC setting
• Supervise pre-doctoral dental students from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry
• Set a positive example in clinical expertise, patient satisfaction, and medical record keeping
• Collaborate with the COO, Dental Director, and CEO of the OSU Total Health Care Center
