Job summary

Precision Castparts in Mentor, OH is seeking an FPI Level I Inspector to perform fluorescent penetrant inspection operations, prepare parts, apply penetrant, develop, and document process records. The role requires current or former FPI Level I certification and NAS-410 training, with adherence to SOPs and safety standards.

The incumbent will handle hazardous waste per MSDS, maintain clean work area, and report to the Finishing Area Manager, contributing to quality and on-time delivery in a team

Qualifications

• Must have current (preferred) or previous FPI Level I certification and must document a completed organized training course per NAS-410.

Responsibilities

• Handle hazardous waste per MSDS and company policy.
• Prepare solutions, clean parts, apply fluorescent penetrant, wash, develop, dry and process parts through the FPI line.
• Degrease parts as required.
• Meet the requirements of the efficiency standard as established by Engineering.
• Interpret and follow SOPs and Engineering Procedures.
• Record daily all work performed and distribute time with operational codes.
• Maintain all required process records.
• Keep work area clean and safe in accordance with rules.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere with customers, coworkers and supervisors.
• Ensure product is properly processed to applicable method sheets; perform duties as assigned by Supervisor or Level III.
• Perform any additional responsibilities as required.
