Precision Castparts in Mentor, OH is seeking an FPI Level I Inspector to perform fluorescent penetrant inspection operations, prepare parts, apply penetrant, develop, and document process records. The incumbent will handle hazardous waste per MSDS, maintain clean work area, and report to the Finishing Area Manager, contributing to quality and on-time delivery in a team

Aufgaben

• Prepare solutions, clean parts, apply fluorescent penetrant, wash, develop, dry and process parts through the FPI line.
• Degrease parts as required.
• Meet the requirements of the efficiency standard as established by Engineering.
• Interpret and follow SOPs and Engineering Procedures.
• Record daily all work performed and distribute time with operational codes.
• Maintain all required process records.
• Keep work area clean and safe in accordance with rules.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere with customers, coworkers and supervisors.
• Ensure product is properly processed to applicable method sheets; perform duties as assigned by Supervisor or Level III.
• Perform any additional responsibilities as required.

Title: FPI, Level I (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection)

Status: Hourly

Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to Finishing Area Manager

Location: Mentor / RP, OH

Work Experience: Must have current (preferred) or previous FPI Level I certification and must document a completed organized training course per NAS-410.

Principal Area of Responsibility: The FPI, Level I will perform the necessary operations and control checks that require investment casting to be processed using equipment and fluorescent penetrant materials in order to prepare the parts for inspection personnel.

Specific Duties

• Incumbent must handle hazardous waste in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and company policy.
• Prepares solutions, cleans parts, applies fluorescent penetrate solution, washes parts, develops them, dries and otherwise processes parts through the FPI line. Complies with standard procedures for checks on equipment and fluids.
• Degreases parts as required.
• Meet the specific requirements of the efficiency standard as established by Engineering.
• Interprets accurately and follows Standard Operating Procedures and Engineering Procedures.
• Records on a daily basis all work performed and correct distribution of work time identifying same by operational codes.
• Maintain all required process records.
• Keeps work area clean, orderly and in safe condition, following all safety rules.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
• Assure product is properly processed to the applicable method sheets. Perform additional duties assigned by Department Supervisor and/or the Level III.
• Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.
