Job summary

Keysight is seeking a highly motivated R&D Engineer (FPGA) to join our team developing FPGA‑based BERT and AWG solutions for high‑speed digital test systems. You will design, implement, and verify RTL code and collaborate across hardware, software, and system teams.

The role emphasizes practical FPGA design, verification, hardware bring‑up, and continuous process improvement, with collaboration across Germany, India, and the US.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals (logic design, state machines, timing concepts).
  • Exposure to HDL languages (VHDL or Verilog) and FPGA development flows (RTL design, simulation, synthesis, and debug).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; capable of working independently or in cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of FPGA‑based solutions for BERT and AWG systems.
  • Implement and verify digital designs using modern FPGA technologies (high‑speed interfaces, DSP blocks, memory subsystems).
  • Participate in architecture definition and translate system requirements into FPGA design specifications.
  • Develop RTL code (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog) and support simulation and verification activities.
  • Support integration, bring‑up, and debugging of FPGA designs on hardware platforms.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineers to ensure overall product performance and functionality.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
  • Document design work, results, and technical learnings.
