Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Specialist, Electrical Engineering in San Diego to shape secure RF communications. You will design FPGA architectures, implement high-performance VHDL/Verilog, and validate via simulations and bench tests, collaborating with hardware, software, and systems teams.

The role involves ownership from concept to deployment, timing closure, and integration on hardware. A TS/SCI clearance is preferred; 9/80 schedule with occasional travel is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field with essential experience.
• 8+ years of related experience or 2+ years with graduate degree.
• In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate system-level requirements into FPGA architectures, specifications and estimates.
• Develop and optimize FPGA designs for advanced RF systems.
• Design, implement, and verify FPGA-based DSP algorithms for real-time processing.
• Run simulations, perform timing closure, and integrate designs on hardware.
• Collaborate with hardware, software and systems engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and troubleshoot design issues; refine architectures.
• Produce engineering artifacts: block diagrams, interface control documents, test procedures.
• Travel up to 10% for on-site integration activities.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance.
