Job summary

Garmin International in the Greater Kansas City area is seeking a full-time FPGA Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. You will design, verify, and test FPGA-based digital logic under supervision.

You will learn to use software tools, perform verification procedures, document designs, and explore cost/performance tradeoffs while evaluating new components and technologies. This internship is eligible for Garmin's intern benefits program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• GPA >= 3.0 expected.
• Familiarity with test equipment and software tools for electronics design, testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, debug, and test digital logic designs implemented in an FPGA.
• Create and execute verification procedures to determine if the proposed design meets functional and performance specifications.
• Learn and use software tools and test equipment to formulate and test electronic designs and complete documentation of a design in the required formats.
• Perform cost/performance tradeoff analysis of different circuit options and investigate the usage of the latest components and technologies.
