Job summary

Garmin seeks a full-time FPGA Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will design and verify FPGA digital logic under supervision and gain hands-on experience with modern tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related field.
• Knowledge and/or experience with test equipment and software tools for electronics design, testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, debug, and test digital logic designs implemented in an FPGA
• Create and execute verification procedures to determine if the proposed design meets functional and performance specifications
• Learn and use software tools and test equipment to formulate and test electronic designs and complete documentation of a design in the required formats
• Perform cost/performance tradeoff analysis of different circuit options and investigate the usage of the latest components and technologies
